This photo catalog, focusing on craftsmen whose trades are on the verge of being forgotten in every corner of Anatolia, includes Erdal Yazıcı's most important black and white photographs, which have photo-reportage and documentary qualities. From shoemakers to farriers, from farriers to blacksmiths, tinsmiths, coppersmiths, and basket weavers, the catalog witnesses the lives of these craftsmen, their labor etched with the sweat of their brows. The first photo exhibition of this work opened in Istanbul in 1992, and it has since been exhibited in many cities across Anatolia and in major world capitals.
